A lower-risk first AI engagement

Know what to build before you fund the build.

In five business days, turn one slow or error-prone process into an evidence-backed decision. You get a process map, baseline, working demonstration and a fixed pilot proposal.

No production access required for the sprint. Start with sanitized examples and the people who know the work.

GOOD FIT

A repeated workflow with a named owner, real examples and a measurable bottleneck.

NOT YET

A company-wide AI strategy, an undefined innovation request or a process with no available owner.

USEFUL RESULT

A grounded decision, even when the recommendation is not to build custom AI.

Five days. Five concrete outputs.

The sprint is designed to replace vague AI discussion with evidence your operations, technology and leadership teams can review.

  1. 01

    Current workflow map

Inputs, systems, decisions, handoffs, exceptions and the person accountable for the result.

  2. 02

    Performance baseline

A practical starting measure such as handling time, correction rate, backlog, review effort or cost per request.

  3. 03

    Knowledge and control plan

Approved sources, permissions, human checkpoints and the conditions that must trigger an escalation.

  4. 04

    Working demonstration

A bounded proof using fictional or sanitized examples so stakeholders can see the proposed flow before implementation.

  5. 05

    Fixed pilot proposal

Recommended architecture, acceptance tests, dependencies, implementation fee and a clear build-or-buy decision.

Interactive workflow demonstration

See how one request becomes checked work.

Choose a fictional request. The demonstration shows how an AI-assisted workflow can extract details, use approved sources, stop on exceptions and prepare a human-reviewed next step.

Demonstration onlyFictional data, deterministic examples and no live AI processing. This is not a client result.

What a pilot can measureTime to prepare a briefFirst-pass acceptanceCorrections per requestExceptions caught before action

A visible path from evidence to operation.

These ranges make the likely commitment clear before the fit call. Final pilot scope depends on integrations, data readiness, risk and acceptance criteria.

02 / PROVE

First Workflow Pilot

C$7,500 to C$15,000

Typically 3 to 6 weeks. Build, test and hand over one agreed workflow with defined acceptance measures.

03 / IMPROVE

Managed Reliability

C$1,500 to C$3,000 monthly

Available after a successful pilot. Monitoring, knowledge refresh, cost review and an agreed improvement backlog.

All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable tax, third-party software, model usage and material out-of-scope integrations. A written proposal controls the final scope and price.

Funding-aware implementation

Funding may support a sound project. It should not create one.

BDC reports that 96% of Canadian SMEs use digital technology, while only 23% have high or very high digital maturity. Kenact starts with the workflow economics, evidence and owner. Funding is treated as a possible financing route after the project makes operational sense.

BDC LIFT

Financing with an advisory plan

LIFT is financing, not a grant. BDC states that an eligible business needs at least C$1 million in annual revenue and must complete a mandatory BDC advisory plan. Approval, terms and eligibility remain with BDC.

OCI DMAP

Client-led eligibility review

OCI describes support of up to C$15,000 for eligible projects. Its general consultant intake was closed when this page was prepared. Kenact is not presented as an approved consultant. A client may investigate the current outside-roster approval route with OCI before relying on it.

Review current OCI information

Program details can change. Kenact does not promise funding, approval or reimbursement. The engagement scope and payment obligations stand on their own unless a written proposal explicitly says otherwise. Read the BDC digital maturity research.

Data and delivery controls

Start small without treating safeguards as an afterthought.

The sprint is a discovery engagement, not permission to connect every system. Access expands only when the proposed workflow and approved boundary require it.

  • Sanitized examples first.Avoid personal customer records and confidential files during early discovery.
  • Approved sources only.Name the documents and experts the system may rely on.
  • Least-privilege access.Limit each integration to the data and actions the workflow needs.
  • Human authority.Keep people in control of commitments, exceptions and consequential actions.
  • Test and hand over.Define acceptance cases, document the system and make ownership explicit.

Before you book the sprint.

Clear boundaries for a practical first decision.

Is the C$2,500 fee fixed?

Yes. The Workflow Evidence Sprint is C$2,500 plus applicable tax for one bounded workflow, subject to the fit criteria on this page. Any implementation, software subscriptions or model usage are separate and require a new approved scope.

Do you need access to our production systems?

Not for the sprint. We can begin with interviews, a screen-share walkthrough and sanitized examples. We agree on any data access before it occurs and avoid confidential customer records during initial discovery.

What happens if the workflow is not a good AI project?

That is a valid outcome. The recommendation may be to simplify the process, use ordinary automation, buy an existing product, fix the source data or defer the project. The purpose is to create evidence before a larger build.

Bring the workflow. Leave with a decision.

Tell us where work slows down, who owns the outcome and what a better result would look like. Choose a short fit call or send the workflow brief for review.

  1. Share one recent, high-level example.
  2. We check fit, ownership, evidence and obvious blockers.
  3. If the sprint fits, you receive a written engagement scope before payment or work begins.
